Dans cet article, nous présentons une méthodologie permettant de déterminer l’emplacement spatial des centres intermédiaires de services de santé spécialisés dans une région donnée. Nous proposons une structure hiérarchique comprenant des unités hospitalières locales, des centres intermédiaires et un centre de référence. L’emplacement des centres intermédiaires de services de santé spécialisés est obtenu en résolvant un problème de p-médianes, dans le but de minimiser la distance moyenne parcourue par les utilisateurs. Une application pratique de cette méthodologie proposée est développée dans l’État de Santa Catarina, dans le but de planifier une distribution géographique probable des centres de soins cardiologiques intermédiaires (CACI), offrant ainsi une meilleure qualité de soins à la population qui a besoin de services spécialisés en cardiologie. Le développement de cette application pratique montre la viabilité de la méthodologie proposée et les résultats obtenus démontrent sa validité.
