El objetivo general del presente libro es analizar y desarrollar una aproximación sistemática acerca del estudio de la Estructura Económica Internacional (EEI) y sus características estacionarias, las cuales ubicamos en los períodos de onda larga comprendidos entre 1870 y 1990 y que denominamos realidades económicas. A pesar de existir una abundante literatura sobre el tema de la EEI, pensamos que la importancia de este estudio radica fundamentalmente en la revisión bibliográfica sobre la estructura económica con lo cual se aspira facilitar el análisis de esta temática a los estudiosos e investigadores.Principalmente se aborda aquí el dinamismo de la EEI como su principal característica, determinada por el grado de presencia, salida o entrada en cada realidad económica internacional, de algún elemento, tema, actor o acontecimiento de tal magnitud que ocasiona transición o cambio en la EEI en estudio.
