O livro examina o papel das redes sociais no reforço da participação do público na administração da justiça no Quénia. O objetivo era analisar se o poder judicial pode utilizar as redes sociais como canal de comunicação para promover a participação do público na administração da justiça no Quénia. O estudo baseou-se em duas teorias relacionadas com a comunicação de massas e os direitos democráticos que justificam a afirmação de que os meios de comunicação de massas (incluindo as redes sociais) podem oferecer uma plataforma para partilhar e receber ideias entre diferentes grupos. Com os resultados, o estudo concluiu que, uma vez que a participação do público consiste em receber e dar informações e que muitos membros do público, especialmente os jovens com idades compreendidas entre os 18 e os 35 anos, são utilizadores das redes sociais, o sistema judicial é obrigado a considerar e a adotar as redes sociais como uma plataforma para promover a participação do público na administração da justiça no Quénia, desenvolvendo políticas em matéria de redes sociais para orientar a interação entre os funcionários judiciais e os membros do público.
