La investigación realizada es un estudio descriptivo e interpretativo que identificó las representaciones de los docentes del nivel de educación primaria en torno a la Reforma Integral de la Educación Básica. Se consideró la participación de 6 profesores del puerto de Veracruz del ciclo escolar 2010- 2011. El propósito fue puntualizar cuáles son las representaciones que construyen los profesores respecto de su práctica docente en el marco de la RIEB 2009. Esto se hizo recuperando elementos teóricos del análisis Político de Discurso. La metodología fue cualitativa, el tipo de estudio fue sincrónico, de acuerdo a su grado de abstracción básica y por el tipo de población nomotético. El método utilizado fue de corte interpretativo. Las técnicas e instrumentos para la recopilación de datos fueron entrevistas y grupo focal.
