This collection of short stores and profiles is a love song the city of Montréal. The city where journalists, filmmakers, playwrights, cat burglars and the lonely ones ply the streets searching for truth in their lives. St.Catherine Street, Mount Royal, The Forum all come alive in these stories which begin in the 1880’s with a journalist searching for an outlaw. 'Lester and Nellie' employs the 1928 Stanley Cup Final as the backdrop for an artist seeking inspiration for her work. 'Theatre of Prison', is the true story of an ex-prisoner who produces his play about his prison life in a theatre down by the docks of the harbour. This book is a love story to the city where the author was born and raised, and he has captured intimate details of it.
