A transfusão de produtos sanguíneos lábeis (LBP) é um procedimento médico crucial para salvar vidas, mas não isento de riscos, incluindo a transmissão de agentes patogénicos e a doença do enxerto contra o hospedeiro. A irradiação do PSL é o principal meio de prevenção. Nosso objetivo é descrever os aspectos ligados a esta irradiação no serviço de radioterapia oncológica de Sousse, a fim de melhorar as práticas atuais. Avaliamos as práticas de irradiação de PSL em nosso estabelecimento com base em dados da literatura, bem como nas regulamentações vigentes, a fim de identificar áreas potenciais de melhoria, como comunicação interdepartamental, rastreabilidade de PSLs irradiados e seu armazenamento.Ao final do nosso estudo, são fornecidas recomendações para padronizar o circuito de irradiação sanguínea, garantindo assim transfusões mais seguras e eficientes para os pacientes do centro tunisiano.
