As redes sociais estão a criar oportunidades de negócio atractivas para marcas e empresas de todo o mundo. Isto deve-se à enorme quantidade de empresas e clientes no Facebook, o que reflecte a importância da investigação sobre o marketing futuro. O objetivo desta dissertação é, em primeiro lugar, identificar diferentes tipos de objectivos de marketing no Facebook e, em segundo lugar, identificar tácticas para atingir os diferentes objectivos. Realizámos uma abordagem indutiva e uma abordagem dedutiva com base num método de teoria fundamentada. Criámos um modelo de conteúdo envolvente com base nas nossas conclusões e definimos elementos tácticos para atingir os diferentes objectivos. As nossas conclusões contribuem para a investigação anterior sobre os objectivos das redes sociais e criam uma visão geral dos objectivos que podem ser alcançados no Facebook. Acreditamos que as nossas conclusões ajudarão as empresas a tomar melhores decisões nas suas futuras campanhas e estratégias de marketing.
