La pyrométallurgie de l’or est un procédé métallurgique qui utilise la chaleur pour extraire l’or des minerais aurifères. Ce procédé implique l’application de températures élevées pour faire fondre et séparer l’or des autres minéraux présents dans le minerai.Le processus de pyrométallurgie de l’or commence par le broyage et le concassage du minerai aurifère pour libérer l’or, puis par la cyanuration. Un processus de fusion est ensuite appliqué dans un four à des températures élevées, généralement entre 1000°C et 1200°C, pour faire fondre l’or et les autres minéraux.Lors de la fusion, l’or est séparé des minéraux de la gangue et concentré sous la forme d’un alliage appelé doré.La pyrométallurgie de l’or est un procédé efficace et rentable pour l’extraction de l’or à grande échelle.
