Psychoanalyse ist eine Einheit von Theorie, Praxis und Forschung. Als Forschungsmethode läßt sie sich weder auf das Modell der nomologischen Psychologie noch auf ’Hermeneutik’ reduzieren. Die Psychoanalyse zeigt einen eigenständigen Zugang zum Psychischen und hat eigene, ihrem Gegenstand angemessene Validierungsprozeduren entwickelt, die sie in vollem Umfang als empirische Wissenschaft qualifizieren. Die Beiträge dieses Bandes grenzen die Psychoanalyse als Methode von nomologischen Ansätzen ab und beschreiben ihre methodologischen Spezifika auf dem Hintergrund neuerer Ergebnisse der Wissenschaftstheorie, exemplarisch werden extra-klinische Anwendungen in der Forschung vorgestellt.
