W badaniu przeanalizowano, w jaki sposób główne organizacje humanitarne działają na rzecz promowania zdrowia na Haiti. Badanie koncentrowało się na trzech dużych instytucjach, wybranych na podstawie raportu Global Geneva (2015), filantropijnej firmy konsultingowej uznanej na całym świecie za ocenę organizacji pomocy humanitarnej, którymi zgodnie z dokumentem są (1) Międzynarodowy Komitet Czerwonego Krzyża, (2) Lekarze bez Granic i (3) Partnerzy w Zdrowiu. Staraliśmy się zrozumieć, w jaki sposób podmioty te są umieszczane w kontekście neoliberalnej globalizacji, która prowadzi do utowarowienia zdrowia i osłabienia państwa, oraz w jaki sposób odnoszą się one do pluralizmu podmiotów społecznych w dziedzinie zdrowia.
