A linha de assinante digital (DSL) é uma tecnologia que utiliza as linhas telefónicas existentes para transmitir dados de grande largura de banda, como ficheiros multimédia e vídeos, aos seus assinantes. A DSL permite o acesso exclusivo à linha de assinante digital ponto a ponto na rede pública. A ligação DSL é normalmente efectuada entre o escritório central do fornecedor de serviços de rede (NSP) e o local do cliente. Os principais objectivos deste trabalho são projetar, simular e implementar o desmodulador Discrete Multitone (DMT) para ADSL para uma transmissão real baseada em Software Defined a Radio (SDR), utilizando FPGAs. Os resultados experimentais do sistema proposto mostram a coincidência entre os dados transmitidos e recebidos com os resultados da simulação, que são obtidos a partir de resultados MATLAB e ModelSim com pequena distorção devido ao ambiente prático, para a taxa de dados de 10 Kb/s, 100 Kb/s, 500 Kb/s e 1Mb/s.
