O objetivo do livro é utilizar o Arduino para construir e criar um robô de combate a incêndios. O robô terá sensores para identificar qualquer incêndio e será capaz de navegar dentro de uma região designada para apagar o fogo. Será utilizado um microcontrolador Arduino para acionar o robô, que será concebido para se movimentar sozinho e realizar tarefas de combate a incêndios. Para pulverizar água sobre o fogo, o robô será equipado com um tanque de água, uma bomba e um bocal. Para se deslocar em direção ao fogo e sentir o seu calor, estará também equipado com sensores de infravermelhos. A mobilidade do robô e as manobras de combate ao fogo serão geridas pelo microcontrolador Arduino, que também tratará os dados dos sensores. A conceção da estrutura mecânica do projeto implicará.
