Inhaltsangabe:Gang der Untersuchung: Die wesentlichen Ziele der vorliegenden Arbeit liegen zum einen in der Bestandsaufnahme zur Projektabwicklung in der Bauindustrie und zum anderen in der Darstellung verschiedener Alternativen zur Verbesserung der Projektabwicklung im Rahmen des Business Process Reengineering. Am Anfang der Ausführungen werden die für das Grundverständnis der Arbeit wesentlichen Begriffe erklärt. Anschließend erfolgt eine allgemeine Marktübersicht zur Konjunkturlage und Branchenstruktur im Baugewerbe. Dem Leser soll mit Hilfe von aktuellen Daten ein Überblick über die derzeitige Situation im Baugewerbe vermittelt werden. Im dritten Kapitel werden die branchentypischen Eigenheiten des Baugewerbes detailliert beschrieben. Innerhalb des vierten Kapitels werden die Grundlagen der Projektabwicklung aufgezeigt. Zunächst wird auf die Projektbeteiligten und die Projekt-organisation eingegangen. Anschließend wird die in Phasen gegliederte Projektabwicklung behandelt. Ausgehend von den formulierten Projektphasen wird der Projektablauf in einer 'Ereignisgesteuerten Prozeßkette' visualisiert. Kapitel vier schließt mit der Betrachtung der Ablaufplanung. In Kapitel fünf werden potentielle Schwachstellen und Mängel in der Projektabwicklung aufgezeigt. Schließlich werden in Kapitel sechs, Reengineering Ansätze, auf der Basis der Ergebnisse aus Kapitel vier und fünf, zahlreiche Alternativen zur Behebung der Schwachstellen und zur effizienten Projektabwicklung vorgestellt. Abschließend wird in Kapitel sieben auf den bisher stark vernachlässigten Aspekt der Gebäudebewirtschaftung im Rahmen der Bauwerksnutzung eingegangen. Es werden neue Ansätze zur Berücksichtigung der Gebäudebewirtschaftung präsentiert und die daraus resultierenden Vorteile aufgeführt. Der Schlußteil beinhaltet eine kurze Zusammenfassung einschließlich einem kurzen Ausblick auf die weitere Entwicklung im Bauwesen.
