This magazine will expose the ethical and health issues behind popular lipstick ingredients for both the average consumer and people involved in production. We delve into the child labor and slavery behind mica, and the lack of knowledge of these practices by the companies later in the supply chain. We show just how little we as consumers know about the most common ingredients we put on our mouth through backstories of what the individual ingredients are REALLY made of. We’ll also do interviews with women in our life about the impacts makeup has on their self’confidence and information on the problematic marketing that can cause emotional issues these women face. At the end of our publication, the viewer will know that we are what we eat, and -- honestly -- that’s not looking too great. Our call to action will be about the bill about carcinogens from 2021, along with a discussion about trade secrets being abolished. We’ll go into how we need more regulations, and how we need to include more health specialists/doctors, ecologists, scientists, and average consumers involved in the industry and product formulation.
