Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Individuum, Gruppe, Gesellschaft, Helmut-Schmidt-Universität - Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg (Bildungs- und Erziehungswissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Migration und Integration, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Arbeit möchte ich mich der Frage widmen, ob die Ängste vor einer massiven Zunahme von Einwanderern im Vorfeld der Osterweiterung gerechtfertigt waren und welche Auswirkungen auf den deutschen Arbeitsmarkt prognostiziert wurden. Dazu werde ich zunächst die Entwicklung der Ost-West-Migration nach Deutschland seit 1945 darstellen und die allgemeine Unsicherheit gegenüber dem Fremden erläutern. Im Anschluss werde ich die befürchteten Auswirkungen auf den deutschen Arbeitsmarkt analysieren und aufzeigen, durch welche Maßnahmen Deutschland versuchte auf die erwartete Zuwanderung zu reagieren. Schließlich werde ich noch versuchen, soweit dies möglich ist, ein Fazit über die Entwicklungen seit 2004 zu ziehen und aufzeigen, inwieweit die vorhergesagten Herausforderungen bewältigt wurden.
