Nos últimos anos, assistiu-se ao crescimento contínuo do desenvolvimento da gestão do conhecimento para captar os fluxos de dados entre organizações e transformá-los em sistemas de informação de gestão exploráveis, conducentes à melhoria das práticas operacionais e, assim, à obtenção de vantagens competitivas. Ao longo desta era, tem havido um grande interesse em explorar a informação para impulsionar o fluxo comercial. No entanto, estes desenvolvimentos na gestão da informação e nas estruturas não têm essencialmente em consideração a natureza específica das organizações, sobretudo quando se considera a aceitação desses sistemas e, por conseguinte, os factores que influenciam essa aceitação. Este conteúdo abordará o desenvolvimento de um quadro de adoção da gestão do conhecimento e desenvolverá um modelo que servirá de instrumento para apoiar a adoção da gestão do conhecimento em geral e nas indústrias transformadoras indianas em particular.
