This text consists of a case study on the social representations of violence and bullying at school, constructed by high school students belonging to class A, enrolled and regularly attending a private school in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. The aim was to record and interpret the social representations of violence and the relationship between violence and school constructed by these young people using Serge Moscovici’s theory of Social Representations and also the contributions of other authors such as Denise Jodelet and Mary Jane Spink. Michel Maffesoli’s ideas on violence were the main ones addressed.
