Este artículo aborda el funcionamiento del proceso administrativo para la exportación de café, en la Cooperativa de Servicios Múltiples 'El Gorrión', R.L de San Sebastián de Yalí y se proponen estrategias que fortalezcan la exportación de café al mercado diferenciado. Según el nivel de conocimiento esta investigación es aplicada y según el enfoque filosófico es cuali-cuantitativa o mixta. El universo de estudio es la Cooperativa de servicios múltiples 'El Gorrión' R.L., con sus 635 asociados. Las técnicas de recolección de datos fueron: Investigación documental, entrevistas, encuestas y guía de observación. Los principales resultados reflejan que una correcta aplicación de los criterios de calidad que exige la cooperativa influye en la cantidad de café que se exporta al mercado internacional. Los productores para obtener la certificación deben cumplir con las normas y leyes del mercado diferenciado, darle un buen manejo a su finca, tener fuentes de aguas restringidas y no contaminar el medio ambiente.
