Skuteczne planowanie i sprawniejsze wdrażanie działań w zakresie reagowania na trzęsienia ziemi / odbudowy i odbudowy mogło uratować wiele istnień ludzkich i mienia. Badanie podjęto w celu oceny czynników utrudniających i przeciwdziałających w obu krajach w celu wygenerowania wniosków dla rządu Nepalu, któremu obecnie powierzono zadanie odbudowy po trzęsieniu ziemi z 25 kwietnia 2015 r. i wstrząsie wtórnym z 12 maja 2015 r. Wspólne czynniki utrudniające to brak gotowości, przeszkody transportowe i brak skuteczności rządu. Unikalne czynniki utrudniające obejmują topografię każdego kraju, pogodę, kulturę, korupcję, bezpieczeństwo i poziom ofiar. Przeszkody napotkane w obu krajach można pokonać w przyszłości poprzez zwiększenie efektywności zarządzania i ulepszenie metod dostarczania pomocy. Ponadto rząd Nepalu wdraża obecnie politykę odbudowy bezpieczniejszych budynków i osiedli. Chociaż jest zbyt wcześnie, aby ocenić ich wpływ, polityka odbudowy obiecuje, że Nepal może zwiększyć swoją odporność na trzęsienia ziemi.
