Las inversiones públicas son la clave que apoyan la prestación de servicios públicos, conectan los ciudadanos y empresas a oportunidades económicas; y puede servir como un catalizador importante para el crecimiento económico. El desarrollo que ha experimentado la economía global durante la última década, ofrece lecciones para Guyana con respecto a la necesidad de fortalecer su sistema público de la gestión de inversiones, que permita cumplir con sus políticas de gobierno. De ahí que, el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo brindar un enfoque conceptual para un procedimiento para la evaluación de proyectos de inversión pública, que contribuye a la comprensión y aplicación de este tema en el sector público de Guyana.
