La violenza, fenomeno multiforme e socialmente ricorrente, ha invaso da tempo le mura scolastiche. Ci sono molte segnalazioni di violenza a scuola, che vanno dalla violenza simbolica, verbale e fisica. Per questo motivo, il presente studio si propone di scoprire e analizzare cosa pensano gli insegnanti del sesto anno delle scuole primarie di due scuole pubbliche della città di Maringá (PR), situate in quartieri diversi e con diverse storie di violenza, riguardo alla violenza scolastica e allo sviluppo della moralità umana e alle loro possibili relazioni. Infine, questo studio ha portato alla conclusione che le teorie dello sviluppo morale, sia nei loro aspetti teorici che metodologici, sono diventate fondamentali nella ricerca di dialoghi che promuovano una maggiore maturazione di concetti quali: dignità, giustizia, gentilezza, solidarietà e rispetto per gli altri esseri umani, con l’obiettivo di promuovere l’educazione alla pace e, in questo modo, annullare significativamente la violenza e la sua banalizzazione, soprattutto nelle scuole.
