La prévision précise des précipitations est un problème difficile pour les pays dépendants de l’agriculture comme l’Inde, car elle permet d’analyser la productivité des cultures, l’utilisation des ressources en eau et la pré-planification des ressources en eau. Cet ouvrage aborde les questions liées à la prévision des données pluviométriques quotidiennes, mensuelles et annuelles à l’aide de réseaux neuronaux. Nous incorporons divers modèles tels que les techniques ARIMA, Feed Forward Neural Network (FFNN), Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBFNN) et Time Delay Neural Network (TDNN) pour la prévision des précipitations. Tous les modèles sont mis en œuvre à l’aide du logiciel MATLAB. L’objectif de ce livre est d’utiliser l’algorithme génétique (AG) pour optimiser les biais et les poids du réseau neuronal. Les résultats du modèle ARIMA sont comparés aux résultats obtenus à l’aide de trois modèles de réseaux neuronaux.
