Eine genaue Niederschlagsvorhersage ist ein schwieriges Problem für von der Landwirtschaft abhängige Länder wie Indien, um die Produktivität der Ernte, die Nutzung der Wasserressourcen und die Vorausplanung der Wasserressourcen zu analysieren. Dieses Buch befasst sich mit der Vorhersage von täglichen, monatlichen und jährlichen Niederschlagsdaten mit Hilfe neuronaler Netze. Wir verwenden verschiedene Modelle wie ARIMA, Feed Forward Neural Network (FFNN), Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBFNN) und Time Delay Neural Network (TDNN) für die Niederschlagsvorhersage. Alle Modelle wurden mit MATLAB-Software implementiert. Der Zweck des Buches ist die Verwendung des genetischen Algorithmus (GA) zur Optimierung der Vorspannung und der Gewichte des neuronalen Netzes. Die Ergebnisse des ARIMA-Modells werden mit den Ergebnissen verglichen, die mit drei neuronalen Netzwerkmodellen erzielt wurden.
