Lo studio supera i vecchi modelli reattivi combinando in un unico punteggio diversi indicatori di rischio come l’instabilità politica, le oscillazioni finanziarie, i cambiamenti delle politiche commerciali e le prestazioni di spedizione. Abbiamo costruito questo indice utilizzando l’analisi delle componenti principali e ne abbiamo testato l’accuratezza con i dati reali del periodo di crisi 2020-2023. I risultati dimostrano che il GFCI segnala in modo affidabile le prossime carenze di forniture mediche con circa tre mesi di anticipo. Ciò è stato confermato da forti correlazioni statistiche e dall’analisi ROC. Il risultato finale è un quadro pratico di allerta precoce e mitigazione che trasforma gli allarmi GFCI in azioni specifiche, come la ricerca di nuovi fornitori o la costituzione di riserve. Questo lavoro fornisce ai politici e alle organizzazioni sanitarie uno strumento proattivo e basato sui dati per costruire catene di approvvigionamento più solide e prepararsi meglio alle future pandemie.
