Der Autorin geht es nicht so sehr um eine Darstellung der im Sozialgesetzbuch VIII aufgeführten Hilfebeispiele, sondern vielmehr um eine kritische und fachlich geleitetet Auseinandersetzung mit dem Ansatz der Hilfe zur Erziehung überhaupt, die die Leser in die Lage versetzen soll, mit diesem Handlungsansatz im Sinne der flexiblen Erziehungshilfe umzugehen.
