Essay aus dem Jahr 2004 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Wissen und Information, Note: 1,7, Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg, Veranstaltung: Proseminar 'Das Wissen vom Wissen', Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ich möchte die Bahnen der aktuell diskutierten Konzepte der Wissens-, Wissenschafts-, Kommunikations- oder Informationsgesellschaft nun verlassen, auf die (diesbezüglich) gängigen Definitionen von Wissen verzichten und den Fokus der Betrachtung auf eine generalisierte Vorstellung von Wissen lenken - nämlich auf das, was Wissen sein wird (bzw. teilweise schon ist), wenn man es kommerzialisiert: Wenn Wissen - seine Produktion, sein Erwerb und seine Nutzung - den Gesetzen des Marktes, den Gesetzen von Angebot und Nachfrage, unterworfen wird, dann lässt es sich schlechthin unter den Begriff „Ware' subsumieren.Bereits die Begriffe Kommerzialisierung, Ware, Angebot und Nachfrage offenbaren eine ökonomische Sichtweise- diese soll auch beibehalten werden, indem ich mich im Weiteren auf Coleman’s Theorie der rationalen Wahl (Rational-Choice-Theorie) stütze.
