This study evaluated the chemical profile, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity, in an unprecedented way, of the nanoemulsion of the crossed essential oil ( NOE ) of Syzygium aromaticum x Pimenta dioica. The major constituent identified by GC-MS-FID EO was Eugenol (78.64%). For antioxidant activity, IC 50 values of 0.5400 mg/ mL ; 0.2180 mg/ mL and 0.0100 mg/ mL were obtained for EO by DPPH, ABTS and FRAP assays, respectively, and IC 50 0.0200 mg/ mL ; 0.0230 mg/ mL and 0.0002 mg/ mL for NOE, respectively. The quantified IC 50 were classified as very active . The IC 50 for anti-inflammatory activity was 30.77 mg /L. Therefore, this study brought unprecedented results for NEO from S. aromaticum x P. dioica, for antioxidant activity, resulting from low concentrations corroborating the I50 observed for anti-inflammatory action.
