Stammesgemeinschaften und andere ethnische Gemeinschaften sind die wichtigste Quelle für ethnomedizinische Informationen. Die einzigartigen geografischen Bedingungen und die reiche Artenvielfalt der Thar-Wüste bieten zahlreichen Stammesgemeinschaften Schutz, Nahrung und Medizin. Das Buch befasst sich mit der Dokumentation ethnomedizinischer Pflanzen.
