O objetivo deste estudo foi compilar dados sobre os elementos da mesa de salto na ginástica artística feminina e sugerir novos elementos para o futuro. Por exemplo, o round off, o salto mortal para trás e o salto esticado (Yurchenko) foram executados por YURCHENKO.N na Newscup de Moscovo de 1982. Um salto esticado Yurchenko com dupla pirueta foi executado por AMANAR.S no Campeonato Europeu de 2000. Este elemento é executado por muitas ginastas de topo. Outro exemplo, um salto lateral com 1/4 de volta e salto para trás com pernas dobradas (Tsukahara) foi executado por TURISCHEVA.L no Campeonato Mundial de 1974. Nos últimos anos, o round off, meia volta e salto para a frente e salto esticado para a frente com 3/2 voltas foi executado por CHENG.F no Campeonato Mundial de 2005. Este livro foi escrito sobre uma tabela cronológica da história dos elementos na mesa de salto na ginástica artística feminina.
