Existe uma forte associação entre o pco e a subfertilidade devido à anovulação. Em doentes com pcos resistentes ao cc, tanto o LOD como a gonadotropina são igualmente eficazes, mas o LOD oferece a oportunidade de favorecer o desenvolvimento folicular do ovário durante pelo menos seis ciclos.
