This research is a monograph presented to the nursing department of the State University of Mato Grosso, Cáceres campus. The aim of the study was to assess whether there is any relationship between the level of physical activity (PAL) and the Quality of Life (QOL) of hypertensive elderly people. The results obtained suggest that the level of physical activity is related to a better quality of life for elderly hypertensive patients. The data points to the need for health professionals to promote, encourage and advise physical activity for elderly hypertensive patients, especially women, so that they understand the importance of practising physical activity for their health, improving their quality of life.
