This book was written for the centennial of the Patterson Fire Department in Patterson, New York. The Patterson Fire Department was founded in 1921. Patterson, New York is the area where Revolutionary War heroes Colonel Henry Ludington and his daughter Sybil Ludington were from. One of their relatives, Daniel G. Ludington was one of the foundng members of the Patterson Fire Department. He later served as President of the fire deparment. His father, Henry S. Ludington became the first chief for the Patterson Fire Department. This book tells the history of the deparment in the context of local, state and world events. The book contains more than 600 photographs.
