El proyecto surge a partir de una reunión de estudiantes de diversas áreas del conocimiento de la Universidad de Chile, vinculados por un sentido crítico a conceptos patrimoniales y por el deseo de ir al rescate de lugares con significancia para su entorno y la ciudad. Este consistió en poder registrar y analizar interdisciplinariamente el estado de ciertos inmuebles de valor patrimonial que están abandonados en la Región Metropolitana, relacionarlos con su entorno y exponer la experiencia que significa visitarlos. Desde esto es que la realización del actual proyecto está intrínsecamente relacionada con la necesidad humana de enfrentarse al olvido, proponiendo la visibilización de una serie de lugares que, pese a su condición de abandono, desafían la fugacidad con que la ciudad se transforma descuidando los relatos de un pasado no muy lejano. 10
