Les infections parasitaires causées par des Helminthes intestinaux et des protozoaires sont parmi les infections les plus répandues dans les pays en développement, entraînant une charge élevée de morbidité et de mortalité dans ces régions. Ces maladies, le plus souvent liées à l’hygiène corporelle, à la réutilisation des eaux usées à des fins agricoles, affectent les enfants en âge scolaire. Vu les répercussions importantes de ces parasitoses intestinales sur la santé humaine, les études épidémiologiques de ces maladies sont fortement recommandées par l’Organisation Mondiale de la Santé pour la mise en évidence d’un système de surveillance régulière et un programme de lutte contre ces parasitoses intestinales surtout chez les enfants. Cet ouvrage présent une étude de la charge parasitaire dans les eaux usées brutes et le parasitisme intestinal en relation avec le statut nutritionnel chez un échantillon d’enfants de la ville de Salé (Maroc).
