When I was a child, I was a very good mathematician.  I was also good at drawing.  I remember thinking, when I was 9 yrs old, something to the effect that a mathematician's life was probably too socially isolated & not much fun & I decided that, therefore, it might be better for me to be an artist.  In early 1980, I published my 1st cassette compilation of my audio work & called it "Usic - 1" as a take-off of "Music - 1" records.  By 1983, this turned into "Usic &/or Usicality - √-1" for a 9 hr radio show of my sounds broadcast on WJHU by my friend Ron Cummings.  In 1995, I released a record album entitled "Usic - √-1 = A Plethora of No-Longer Neglected Audio/Conceptual Obstacle Courses".  All of these were somewhat informed by the notion that if something can be imagined then it can be applied.  Such were the seeds of what I now call "P.N.T." (Perverse Number Theory).  This bk is the result of my reading about mathematical concepts that I thought were pardigm-shifting & then reimagining them to suit my own P.N.T. purposes.  It's not intended to be accepted by mathematicians.  Its potential readership is so obscure that I'm not sure that I'll ever even meet anyone who might appreciate the bk's strangeness.  So be it.  Nonetheless, I think it's an important bk for thinking outside-the-box, for outlaw-thinking-outside-the-box.- author's note by tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE - February 17, 2017
