Este livro analisa a influência das práticas pedagógicas na aquisição de competências em educação para a saúde (ES) através da educação física e desportiva (EFE) no Burkina Faso. Analisa a forma como os temas emergentes são postos em prática. A investigação centra-se na aquisição de competências na educação física pós-primária. As sessões foram os locais onde recolhemos os nossos dados no final do 2.º trimestre de 2021. O inquérito exploratório permitiu-nos fazer um balanço dos conhecimentos dos professores e dos alunos, identificar dificuldades e procurar soluções para melhorar o ensino/aprendizagem da EF através da EF. Os resultados mostram que alguns alunos têm falta de conhecimentos nos domínios da educação cívica e moral, da saúde - higiene - saneamento e da segurança rodoviária. Os professores referiram um sentimento de incompetência pedagógica em Educação Física, a indisponibilidade de materiais e documentos de ensino e/ou aprendizagem. O objetivo era compreender a influência das práticas pedagógicas, a fim de propor acções e modos de intervenção para melhorar as competências dos professores e dos alunos.
