O estudo determinou que a instalação dos desalojados de Mau na zona teve um impacto negativo nos recursos da comunidade de acolhimento. A instalação dos desalojados na comunidade diminui a área de terras agrícolas, reduz a produção alimentar, degrada o ambiente devido ao abate de árvores e exerce pressão sobre as infra-estruturas disponíveis, especialmente nas escolas e nas unidades de saúde. Os recursos mais afectados pela instalação dos desalojados são a água, as infra-estruturas, a terra, o desemprego e a água. As conclusões do estudo revelam que a instalação dos desalojados na comunidade de acolhimento exerceu uma pressão considerável sobre os recursos críticos, nomeadamente a terra, a água, as florestas e as infra-estruturas. A invasão da comunidade de acolhimento pelos desalojados conduziu à invasão de terras agrícolas, diminuindo assim a terra disponível para cultivo e, consequentemente, reduzindo a produção alimentar. Dada a natureza finita da terra, a comunidade de acolhimento registou um aumento da concorrência pelo espaço, o que resultou numa perda tangível de área agrícola.
