No presente estudo, 120 adolescentes preencheram o NEO-FFI e as Matrizes Progressivas Padrão e forneceram informações sobre personalidade e inteligência. Utilizando a Análise de Variância Unidirecional e o Teste de Intervalo Múltiplo de Duncan, este estudo conclui que os primogénitos relataram níveis significativamente mais elevados na dimensão do neuroticismo e da conscienciosidade, os filhos do meio relataram níveis significativamente mais elevados na dimensão da extroversão, os caçulas relataram níveis significativamente mais elevados na dimensão da abertura à experiência e da amabilidade, e os primogénitos e filhos únicos relataram níveis significativamente mais elevados de inteligência.
