W niniejszej publikacji omówiono sformułowanie i zastosowanie integralnej metodologii poprawy ogólnej charakterystyki energetycznej budynków biurowych oraz przedstawiono przykłady jej zastosowania. Celem jest sformułowanie nowej tezy w dziedzinie nauk budowlanych poprzez opracowanie ogólnej/integralnej metodologii, która mogłaby znaleźć szerokie zastosowanie w renowacji istniejących budynków biurowych pod kątem poprawy ich charakterystyki energetycznej oraz pomóc architektom i inżynierom na wczesnych etapach projektowania nowych obiektów. Głównym celem było sformułowanie zoptymalizowanego modelu przegród zewnętrznych budynku pod kątem jakości oświetlenia wewnętrznego, co zostało zademonstrowane na istniejącym budynku referencyjnym. Zintegrowana metodologia poprawy całkowitej charakterystyki energetycznej budynków biurowych wykorzystuje metodę optymalizacji wielokryterialnej oraz bardzo szczegółowe programy BIM i dynamiczne silniki symulacji energetycznej. Opracowana zintegrowana metodologia jest elastyczna i można ją dostosować do różnych warunków klimatycznych i różnych typów konstrukcji.
