Beim Drahterodieren werden verschiedene Techniken angewandt, um die Materialabtragsrate (MRR), die Oberflächenrauhigkeit (SR) und die Schnittfugenbreite (KF) mit unterschiedlichen Elektrodenkombinationen zu verbessern. Das Drahterodieren ist eines der nicht-traditionellen Bearbeitungsverfahren. Dieses Projekt fasst die Taguchi-Optimierungstechnik zusammen, um die Schnittparameter beim Drahterodieren von rostfreiem Stahl AISI 310 zu optimieren. In dieser Studie wird rostfreier Stahl AISI 310 als Werkstück, Messingdraht mit einem Durchmesser von 0,25 mm als Werkzeug und destilliertes Wasser als dielektrische Flüssigkeit für die Experimente verwendet (Taguchi’s L16). Die für die Optimierung ausgewählten Eingangsparameter sind die Impulseinschaltzeit (Ton) und die Impulsausschaltzeit (Toff), die Drahtspannung (Wt) und der Drahtvorschub. Für jedes Experiment werden die Oberflächenrauheit und der Bearbeitungszeitpunkt, die MRR und die Schnittfugenbreite mit Hilfe der Taguchi-Optimierungstechnik bestimmt, wobei der optimale Wert separat ermittelt wird. Die aus der vorliegenden Arbeit gewonnenen Daten werden mit Hilfe der GREY REALTIONAL ANALYSE analysiert. Zusätzlich ist die Varianzanalyse (ANOVA) nützlich, um die Haupteffektdiagramme zu identifizieren.
