Das vorliegende Projekt mit dem Titel 'Vom Olivenkern zur grünen Kosmetik' untersucht das Potenzial von Olivenkernen, einem Nebenprodukt der Olivenindustrie, als Schlüsselbestandteil in der Formulierung von Kosmetikprodukten. Die Studie untersucht die physikalisch-chemischen Eigenschaften von Olivenkernen, die hauptsächlich aus Zellulose, Lignin und phenolischen Verbindungen bestehen. Diese Elemente verleihen ihnen eine natürliche abrasive Textur, die ideal für ein sanftes Peeling ist, sowie ein hohes antioxidatives Potenzial, das sich positiv auf die Haut auswirkt. Ihre Verwendung in Kosmetika hilft dank des hohen Gehalts an natürlichen Antioxidantien auch bei der Bekämpfung von oxidativem Stress und Hautalterung.Das Projekt zeigt auch, dass Olivenkerne als natürliche Peeling- und Aufhellungsmittel verwendet werden. Neben den Vorteilen für die Haut trägt die Nutzung dieses Nebenprodukts auch zur Abfallreduzierung und zur Förderung verantwortungsvollerer und nachhaltigerer kosmetischer Praktiken bei.
