Okinawa, die Wiege des Karate: Der zweite der drei Bände beschäftigt sich mit den tieferen Anwendungen (Bunkai) der fortgeschrittenen Goju Ryu Katas Saifa, Seienchin, Shisochin und Seisan. Da in diesen Formen auch Elemente aus dem Okinawa Torite enthalten sind, werden wir etwas näher auf die Geschichte und die Eigenschaften spezieller Hebeltechniken eingehen. Einen Teil der Basis Übungen haben wir schon im ersten Band bei der Besprechung der Kata Tensho dargestellt. Im Buch finden Sie weiterhin einige Informationen über die historische Entwicklung von Naha Te und Goju Ryu. Der Leser wird in diesem Buch auch die tiefere Bedeutung der Kata kennenlernen, was mit Ura- Waza bezeichnet wird. Es kam in diesem Zusammenhang darauf an zu zeigen wie man aus der Kata verschiedene Anwendungsvarianten entwickeln kann, die man zu Anfang als Schüler oder niedrig graduierter Meister in der Regel nicht ohne weiteres erkennt.
