Argr hatte Thor in Rausch getrunken mit sehr, sehr vielen Hörnern Ael: nicht so gut, als Mancher meint, ist Ael den Erdensöhnen. Aber auch Asen, scheint es, ist es oft von Uebel. Argr hatte mit Thor in die Wette getrunken; jeder wettete ein Trinkhorn. Nach sehr vielen Hörnern sagte Argr, er könne nicht mehr. Thor konnte auch nicht mehr: aber er trank fort und gewann so großes Horn, aber größeren Rausch...' Felix Dahn (1834 - 1912) war ein deutscher Professor für Rechtswissenschaften, Schriftsteller und Historiker. Dahns Popularität gründete vor allem auf einem historischen Roman. Mit einem insgesamt ca. 30.000 Druckseiten umfassenden Œuvre zählt Felix Dahn zu den produktivsten Autoren seiner Zeit.
