A experiência adquirida com a extração de amostras de sangue, preparação de soro, e o facto de a redução da concentração de Zinco aumentar ligeiramente a taxa de nascimentos prematuros, deixou-me perceber como era importante analisar micronutrientes como o ferro e o Zinco durante a gravidez. Existem numerosos estudos sobre o Zinco no domínio da dermatologia, da patologia, da ginecologia e da cirurgia no tratamento de feridas operatórias; enquanto que no domínio da obstetrícia, no nosso país, existem poucos estudos. Este livro é útil para laboratórios, pessoal médico e pacientes (mulheres grávidas).
