Este estudo foi considerado um estudo clínico-farmacológico sobre os efeitos adversos dos esteróides em doentes dermatológicos no hospital de múltiplas especialidades Rmmch em Chidambaram. Neste estudo, 50 doentes estavam a receber esteróides tópicos e foram designados como grupo A. O outro grupo estava a receber esteróides sistémicos (esteróides orais), designados como grupo B. Todos estes grupos de estudo foram selecionados aleatoriamente e, independentemente do diagnóstico, a duração do tratamento e o modo de ação do medicamento foram analisados e o resultado foi interpretado em várias categorias. Entre 100 casos, 51 eram do sexo masculino e 49 do sexo feminino. Todos os efeitos adversos observados no grupo de estudo foram comparados com base na idade, no sexo e na duração do tratamento com esteróides tópicos e sistémicos.
