Este livro trata do efeito da migração na desigualdade, apresentando evidências empíricas sobre a relação entre remessas internacionais e desigualdade de rendimentos na Albânia. Também foi analisado se os fatores socioeconómicos e políticos afetam a migração interna e externa, uma vez que a Albânia é um país com movimentação interna e internacional, por estar localizado na região dos Balcãs. Como mais de metade da população albanesa está diretamente exposta ao fenómeno da migração, este livro tem como objetivo avaliar o nível do efeito das remessas na desigualdade de rendimentos durante o período de 1992-2012, testando a cointegração de 21 observações de séries temporais através do Teste de Cointegração de Johansen.
