Wasser, eine lebenswichtige und unverzichtbare Ressource für alle Lebensformen, spielt eine zentrale Rolle in kritischen Bereichen wie der pharmazeutischen Industrie, chemischen Anwendungen und biologischen Labors. Angesichts der zunehmenden Verknappung dieser Ressource und der globalen Energiewende entwickelt sich die Solardestillation zu einer nachhaltigen Lösung, die wirtschaftliche und soziale Herausforderungen miteinander verbindet. Diese Arbeit untersucht anhand eines experimentellen und numerischen Ansatzes die Leistung eines für trockene Regionen konzipierten Solardestillators mit doppelter Neigung. Ein in FORTRAN entwickelter Berechnungscode ermöglichte die Modellierung der wichtigsten Parameter: Betriebstemperaturen, Gesamt- und interne Effizienz, Leistungsfaktor und Kondensatdurchfluss. Die numerischen Simulationen wurden sorgfältig mit den unter den klimatischen Bedingungen der Region Ouargla (Algerien) gesammelten experimentellen Daten verglichen und lieferten so eine solide Validierung des vorgeschlagenen Modells.
