Mit der zunehmenden Miniaturisierung und den Leistungsanforderungen moderner elektronischer Systeme ist die Herausforderung eines effektiven Wärmemanagements wichtiger denn je geworden. Passive Kühlstrategien, insbesondere Pin-Fin-Kühlkörper, bieten aufgrund ihrer großen Oberfläche und kompakten Struktur vielversprechende Lösungen. Herkömmliche Geometrien wie zylindrische und quadratische Rippen sind jedoch bei hohen Wärmeströmen aufgrund von Einschränkungen bei der Strömungsinteraktion, der Unterbrechung der Grenzschicht und der thermischen Verteilung oft nicht leistungsfähig. Um diese Einschränkungen zu beheben, wird in dieser Studie eine umfassende CFD-Untersuchung der Auswirkungen geometrischer Modifikationen, nämlich Formvariation, Verdrehung und Perforation, auf das thermische und strömungstechnische Verhalten eines neuartigen Kühlkörpers durchgeführt.
