Цель данной работы - дать читателям ключ к пониманию реальности обменов между странами Западной Африки, участвующими в процессе регионализации с 1975 года. Анализ основан на последних разработках теорий экономической (факторные и институциональные недостатки, трансакционные издержки) и стилизованной теории. факты, касающиеся торговых потоков и потенциала экспортно-импортных поставок. Презентация показала, что международная торговля не является надежным источником финансирования развития стран Западной Африки, экспортирующих продукцию в сыром виде. Расходящиеся экономики этих государств по-прежнему остаются в ловушке своего состояния отсталости. Двумя основными проблемами на пути открытия торговли являются соглашения EPA и AfCFTA. К этим темам относились беспристрастно, чтобы расшифровать предвзятые идеи. Их обзор выявил преимущества, которые перевешивают затраты. Наконец, авторы изучили возможные решения, выпустив рекомендации по торговой политике, направленные на создание условий для возникновения перекрестной торговли в Западной Африке.
