Охрану труда следует рассматривать как инвестицию для компаний, поскольку, хотя она и не приносит прибыли, но предотвращает убытки. Нормативные стандарты NR 15 и NBR 5413 (Бразилия, 2008) предусматривают, что эргономические, физические и химические риски должны быть сведены к минимуму на рабочем месте, тем самым снижая риск несчастных случаев. Целью данной работы была оценка таких факторов окружающей среды, как шум, освещенность, температура и влажность на прокатном стане, расположенном в регионе Зона-да-Мата штата Рондония. Для оценки предприятия были проведены анкетирования с целью получения информации о сотрудниках с точки зрения возраста, стажа работы в компании, школьного образования и т. д. Для измерения шума и освещенности использовался мультипараметр ITMP 600, а для измерения температуры и влажности - портативный цифровой глобусный термометр ITWG 2000. Измерения проводились во время смены в 13:00, рядом с сотрудниками, выполняющими свои обязанности в каждом секторе. Полученные значения среднего уровня шума и воздействия оказались ниже допустимых по NR 15, а температура и влажность - выше, хотя климат в регионе классифицируется как жаркий и влажный,
